Rules for taking your pet to Hong Kong
We’re IPATA certified, so you can ensure that we can provide expert and trustworthy advice when it comes to shipping your pet. There are a couple of rules and regulations that you have to be aware of when organising pet travel to Hong Kong, you can view some of them below:
Before arranging your pet’s transportation, it’s important to ensure that you have proof of vaccination from at least 30 days (but not more than a year) from your pet’s departure. Unvaccinated pets are prohibited from entering Hong Kong, so this should be at the top of your list of things to do.
A microchip will also be necessary. For a microchip to be accepted within Hong Kong, you must check whether it is ISO-compatible. All cats and dogs will require an AVID 9-digit microchip, however, if they do not have one, they will be microchipped upon arrival in Hong Kong for an additional fee.
